*ROAD TO 5000 SUBS!*

I finally watched this and now I feel like I can see through time and space and all the things Genshin... and I still probably understand only 20% of it. Regardless, this was crazy. I'll be returning to this again and again for my theory crafting.

Check out my Genshin Impact Playlist!

How many of you rewatched this when Fontaine was released? Tell me about the hype when you first saw it. :D

I always love coming back to this trailer after doing a region having context makes watching it all the better.

The funny thing is that this line was said by venti lmao " freedom if demanded of you by an archon is no freedom at all" .
Venti's representation of freedom is my favourite in all fiction because it is in all sense of the word" choice"

If I remember correctly, this trailer dropped together with the game or few days apart. So we basically knew nothing. It was very funny back then when everyone was making theories with 0 knowledge about many things. And now, we're in Fontaine. I remember when Lyney and Lynette were only known from this one scene. Now I have them both in my team. It's crazy how fast it went by. This game really is an experience

I love your reactions. I've seen few reactors that are able to catch up on lore, but you're the first one I've seen who actually remembers things people told you, you remember names, voices, even character's trailers OSTs. AND without even playing the game. Hats off to you.

I can confirm that many people come back to this trailer a lot. It foreSHADOWs many things. It makes sense that it's the most viewed video on Genshin channel (together with Zhongli's demo lol)

Aether is the poster boy of Genshin that's why he appears as the traveler in trailer, demos, marketing and such things.

It is understandable.

This was the trailer that convinced me that I was going to stick through this game until it ends. I watched it when Inazuma wasn't even released yet so everything after Liyue's section was so hype.

My favorite part about this trailer is, everything makes sense once you finish the region

Diluc, Ningguang, and most of the other characters that were in the game and playable from the very start didn't get their own trailers, unfortunately. I always thought it was kind of weird that Kaeya and Xiangling got a trailer, but if you watch them, they seem more like ads for Genshin itself than showcases for the character.

I didn't start Genshin until earlier this year, and I didn't know about this trailer's existence until after I had caught up on the story. I think it's neat that people who have been playing from the beginning got to see characters like Cyno, Lyney, and Lynette way back then.

Do I think they would allow multiple endings? Nah, I don't think they'd go there, but I can't base that on anything.

A couple other things, the Sumeru "University" is called the Akademiya. Lumine is pronounced Loo Mean, and I used to have a dog named Shadow.

Was awesome hearing your thoughts on this. It will definitely be exciting to watch as you experience the game. Good luck with the move!

I really love this trailer so much. Its arranged so well with its narration, the lines are so poetic and cryptic but revealing, the music direction amazing, and you get glimpses of main characters 7 years into the future. The trailer is a work of art in its own right.

With genshin there are so many layers of lore spawning so many layers of theories and speculation. If you really want to get into it, you have to look at all the flavor text for weapons/artifacts, and in game books. There is so much extra detail hidden there that most players don't read that suddenly become important later or adds so much to existing info. Its really interesting way to tell the story, but also can be annoying since its so easy to miss seemingly important info that applies to the main story. Also there are limited time events that occasionally drop big lore implications but newer players do not see them. So you might want to watch play throughs or summaries of these events.

its amazing watching this now and noticing how literal all the complex sounding analogies should be taking based on the plots we got for the 4 nations

I can't wait until you play the game. You're gonna discover so much new lore. There's a lot of it hidden in the shadows

Oh you're totally right on 21:02.
Charlotte stated on the 3.7 event that we're kinda famous in Fontaine because the events of Chapter I: Liyue were in the front page for almost a whole month.
We are quite the big deal.

Also on 25:38, keep this question on your mind while playing.

Btw, Shadow.

It is really something else to now have characters in the game that were first revealed in this trailer and how much story they planed in advance. All the Dainsleif stuff is always so exciting and even though it is all very vague still i can't wait were it leads us.

When I was first watching Teyvat chapter storyline, there were only Mondstadt and Liyue, and I was so astonished by future regions. I didn't understand these lines about regions, but I loved music of each region and characters. Now after each main story quest I rewatch this video, and like so that was what he mean". It's very interesting , 'cause more you rewatch it, more you understand through the time, years. How much lore is hidden beyond the lines
And I really appreciate all region's music themes in the preview *_*
Thank you for video! It was very interesting to hear your vision and thoughts

this teaser mentions spoilers but all the descriptions of the nations have been cheeky, sumeru espetially

i love that lyney and lynette do the same pose in lyney's demo

everyone was super interested in dainsleif, (he also does the naration for all character ability explanation videos and often adds his own opinion on them, you can understand his bias from that) we all thought we would meet him at the end of the game but then hoyo did something else

the stuff about weaving fate is also eyebrow raising, even now we don't know what it means exactly

Another little ironic tidbit is that from various lore and character voicelines the fandom has come to the working theory that the Tsaritsa, the god being talked about in 'Everwinter Without Mercy', is the God of Love.

I can vouche and confirm Genshin lore is very dark. many of the themes shockingly sensitive and/or mature in subject matter. Grief, death, depression, traumatic events, tyranny, slavery, human sacrifice, war(lots of them), and some I dare not name because of how f*** up they are. You only need to as Dainslief said, look for it as it is EVERYWHERE!! lol <3

Little detail: The character on Act 6, Everwinter Without Mercy is "Pulcinella" also known as "The Rooster". I don't know why they decided to hide him on this trailer. But he already appeared in another trailer, talking and all, he might be from the same race as Klee, and look funny as heck.
He's like, Klee sized, long nose, moustache, a big hat and monocle.
He's from the Fatui and Childe puts him on a pedestal (a pedestal slightly lower than a certain another Fatui member that Childe admires, but still) on his character lines.

Edit: Also the guy at the end is indeed Dainsleif.
