The Max Original series And Just Like That..., a new chapter of the groundbreaking HBO series, Sex and the City, follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the journey from the friendship they had in their 30s to a more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, and Evan Handler all return to portray their characters from the original series. Willie Garson, who died Sept. 21, 2021, appears as Stanford Blatch in his final television role.

I found this a mix bag, I think with the missing piece of Samantha the girls didn't feel whole. The new cast was eh! Tbh I don't know if I will bother with season 2.

I watched ALL of Season 1 expecting Samantha all the way up to the final episode. I was VERY disappointed when she did not show up.

Now I read that she will appear in a cameo in the final episode of Season 2.

My plan: Skip ALL of Season 2, search for the few minutes or seconds with Samantha in the final episode and watch happily.

All the main characters were in a coma for 20 years, woke up and JuST Like That are acting the same immature way. No personal growth is showing. A bunch of crypt keepers dating, or, in the case of sharlotte acting like twits after too much plastic surgery.

I was a great fan of SATC. The quality of script, acting and production were all top notch. SJP is probably my favourite actress. Her voice-overs on that series were exquisite.
I tried an episode of this new version last night. I really felt for the principal characters, having to deliver a rather leaden script and super-woke slanted storylines. I only lasted 15 minutes.
