Speaking as an electrical engineer I t’s important to note that there are types of “inductive charging” that are >95% efficient and can do >100kW. These rely on a very different coil topology than what are used in our phones. They are bulkier and more costly than what is feasible in phones, so it s best not to extrapolate Qi and MagSafe too much.

If you were using a traditional Qi/MagSafe inductive charging then yes your coupling factor and efficiency can drop quickly as you pull it further from the charger. Other inductive charging tech is much less distance and alignment sensitive. This is likely what they will use and it is used currently to a small extent in demo devices and research projects.

In the extended Tesla stream after the event, you can definitely see a front blinker. In the clip with Elon, it was off to pass the intersection, then turned on when it drove past. Just as it should with FSD

Robotaxi or any self driving car have a vulnerability to being stopped by thieves and assailants, this is already happening to Waymo passengers the bad guy just needs to stand in front of the car and it will stop leaving the passenger at risk of being robbed or worse. This is really bad and no one has realized.

1:29. This is a terrible line of reasoning. FSD was a from scratch project. Bot is being built off of the FSD groundwork. So they have a running start on this. Also, FSD is a VERY high bar, where mistakes have HUGE consequences, and actions must be taken in real time. A mess up folding laundry isn't a problem, and if the bot stops to think, it's not going to be the end of anything. Tesla is making lightning fast progress on this, and the threshold for usefulness is FAR lower.

I work at a wireless power company. An ev wireless charger can be 90%+ efficiently because of the very high power level. It also doesn't have to be close. So it won't have to raise up or stick out of the ground.

0:19. I do believe they are not teleoperated. The actions are not nearly sophisticated enough for me to believe they are teleoperated. I watched the interactions for a long time, and there were many mistakes that were made I don't believe humans remote operating would make. There was also a certain "cannedness" in situations that a human could easily have better understood, that makes me believe the robots are operating autonomously.

0:46. Why do you say that, like you "know, " like it's a disclosed fact? You have no idea. You're just projecting your skepticism.

0:57 First hand evidence that they are not controlled. That was right in the robot's line of sight, there is NO WAY a remote operator wouldn't have seen that. The hand was held there for a prolonged period, plenty of time for a remote operator to figure it out. No action. Like it was confused, like it just saw something it wasn't trained for. Kevin's confirmation bias is booming.
