CMD 100 Determining Compression in mmHg

Показать описание
This video discusses how to calculate compression levels in pressure units of mmHg. The compression levels delivered by a garment are a function of the tension in the garment when stretched to it's intended girth (design intent - ideal person) as well as the area that that the tension force is applied over the area of the body. The applied area is a function of "girth" (circumference). The calculation is simplified into a basic formula (4 x reading / girth). This formula will yield a result in pressure units of mmHg if the girth is in units of cm.
