I wanna correct you at the Bluetooth part.

Technically, u can play lossless files using bluetooth, how? By using a dac, or should i say, a wireless dac, that could act as a receiver, and converts the audio digital data into analog, then outputs it to the speaker, without losing any data

Awesome video thanks for that explanation! Can’t wait to hear upgraded music. As a musician who never researched difference in file quality I always knew if I was hearing a higher quality rendition of a song but didn’t realize why. So I’ll ask, can my Kliptsch wired sub woofer and speakers deliver lossless audio through my LG OLED TV?

So if I want to listen to Lossless audio on my iPhone or Mac, I need to listen with headphones that feature the 3.5mm jack or Apple headphones with lightning cable?
And if I want to listen to Spatial Audio, I will need the supported Apple AirPods or Beats?

I’m really enjoying this music tech series. It’s nice to have something different from someone who knows sound. Also as I idea for another episode/s, would be looking at whether it’s worth getting the higher end wifi/AirPlay 2 speakers like Naim, Ruark, NAD, Devialet, or invest in a stereo system with traditional speakers. As a curve ball I have tinnitus. Can generally tell awful speakers from something reasonable!

In null tests there is no difference between 48kHz and 192kHz. Not sure about 24bit vs 16bit but if headphones through lightning can play 24bit and 48kHz then that’s good right? Not many people are even recording at 192 because it takes up so much HD space. Hopefully next version of AirPods will work with WiFi or something. Thanks 🙏

What about using the Apple Music app on an Apple TV 4K connected to a home theater receiver with a HDMI cable? Or using your iPhone Apple Music app streamed to said Apple TV?

Will using the headphone jack of the iPhone 6S or iPad Air 2 send out lossless quality to the wired XM4s? or are the sony XM4 not good enough to play lossless stuff?

Hi? How about KZ IEM? I use TIDAL Master, can I listen to its full quality?

What actually happens when i play 24/48 or higher (apple high res lossless) with a cheaper or inferior dacs like apple lightning to 3.5 mm jack?

Loved this, whenever people try to say that there is no difference between wired and Bluetooth I will refer them to this video. Also when people claim Tidal is lossless (which is not, its still compressed)

If I change my Apple Music preferences on my computer, will all Apple Music apps on my iPhone, iPad & Samsung TV play in Apple Lossless? I ask because I cannot change the preferences on those devices.

can other bluetooth headphones(sony 1000xm4, beoplay hx, etc.) in apple music sound similar to lossless when connected to wire?

I loved your explanation about loseless, no one else has gone into explaining it this simple.
I have the Sony XM4 headphones and my Samsung phone is set up to stream over BT at hi-res. The LDAC codec says it can do 32bit @ 96 Khz. I am somewhat able to notice a difference and I play MQA files on Tidal than lossy, but not all the time. The HiFi audio sounds pretty good as well (CD-quality), is much crisp and clear. So, even though I cannot hear the full 192 KHz, I believe I still get to enjoy a better audio quality. I know I am not hearing real Master quality audio through BT, but it does sound clearer to me.
