I used to get upset about the rising cost of everything … but then i decided instead of being bitter since i couldnt change that what i could change was my income ….. work on the things you can do instead of worrying about the things u cant 🤷‍♂️

Worldwide inflation. Looming food crisis in Africa
and middle east. Gas prices all time high. Global
currencies are in decline while all institutions are
predicting recession within one year. Let's not
forget the war. Supply chain are disrupted across
the globe. There is fertilizer shortage. Well the only
thing i can think to make situation worse is severe
climate condition leading to draught and floods and
we are set for once in a lifetime ride to depression.
With inflation currently at about 9%, my primary
concern is how to maximize my savings/retirement
fund of about $300k which has been sitting duck
since forever with zero to no gains.

There is one reason for it, and one reason only;
Printing the currency into oblivion...

Currency printing IS inflation.
Rising consumer prices are a reaction to the increased currency supply. The goods you are buying don't magically cost more out of nowhere, the price increases because there is alot more 'money' in the system and prices have to reflect that.

To understand it better, think of this example; If we live in a small community of 500 people, the prices are 'normal' and stable for years, everything is good....Then, all of a sudden, now there is 10X more money in circulation among these 500 people, not necessarily distributed equally among them.
What happens to prices of goods and services in that community?
