Good job man. It's an amazing feeling when a shift flows like that. You're patient was lucky to have you and your team to care for him. Hugs from this Danish geriatrics nurse :-)

Welcome to the ICU. You fix one problem, that intervention causes another concern. Lol I'm in my last semester of Nursing School, looking at working in the MICU, weeknights. Excited!

I love your videos - they make me all the more excited on becoming a nurse.  I just started my prereq's (luckily I don't have too many since I have a previous degree) so it seems far away but I'm sure the time will go all too fast!

Sounds like an awesome day! My ED wants to start doing more Art lines. Could you go over your experience with those? CVP vs MAP, etc. Keep up the good work :)

I watched a program where they were talking about people that suffered from hypothermia and the heart stopped (like falling into a frozen lake) were much easy to bring back...has something to do with the o2 consumption...that's why O2 shouldn't be administered in high doses or something to that nature. Thanks for

Great Video & congrats on the fast and effective response in helping this patient; I was wondering if the patient recently has the infarction; What would be the most effective step when the patient initially arrives to the hospital? Relating to med or cooling blanket....etc. Are protocols varied when dealing with a specific type of M.I. or is it standard? Thanks for the response

Do you work with mouthy, insubordinate CNAs? If so, I would love to see a video on how to deal with them? I've been a nurse for 6 years and I still haven't found a good techniques in dealing with negative coworkers (nurses and CNAs).

hypothermia is to avoid brain damage from acidosis from the mi. patient is not hypovolemic from medication you mentioned - he is vasodilated which drops his pressure. you mention that you have to check insulin every hour - how are you checking insulin?  how is the pancreas secreting blood to organs too? haha i'm just giving you shit. i'm a male nurse too. you're doing a good job keep making videos. :D
