I was told, at a young age, "The dead know nothing." That we are awakened when Jesus comes back for us at the end of the age.

Believers do not go to Heaven after they die. They sleep in their graves in an unconscious state, until Jesus, the Resurrection and the Life calls them forth from the grave. They then ascend to Heaven with the righteous living, and spend 1000 years in Heaven with God. The myth that people die and go straight to Heaven is not Biblical. This is exactly why Jesus is coming back, to raise His people and take them with Him. After the millennium He comes back to raise and destroy the wicked, along with satan and his evil angels. This is called the second death. Then, Jesus recreates a new heaven and a new earth where His righteous Kingdom is on earth forevermore!

This isn't inaccurate. Read the Old Testament in it's entirety to better understand.

In short, nobody went to heaven before Christ's sacrifice, they went to Abraham's Bosom. After the sacrifice was completed, Christ took his children to heaven with him and that's where believers have gone since.

That's bs I'm jewish and what wen you say I'm going to heaven wen I die dose not have to mean literally in the sky it can be anywhere its probably not in this world or anywhere that we can imagine and god is not in the sky god is everywhere and you will ask where does he hang out that's something that we can't comprehend because God has no limits

you are partially correct. Most Christians believe in heaven, not most people. Heaven is a New Testament invention, just like Jesus is a NT creation.
