Virus.DOS.Omega

Sorry, I gave the wrong payload description. It actually destroys the partition tables on the first two hard disks, rather than straight up formatting them. Still, quite destructive.

Straight to the point, I like it. Omega is usually a character to represent the end, but instead of a silly little message or graphical glitch that other viruses have, or just playing something over the speakers, it just... formats it.

@alex2000robert That would be a hard sell for Dan, for a few reasons:

1. He's quite pro-windows, as I recall.
2. Do you KNOW how much a Macintosh costs?
3. Even if he got a mac, there wouldn't be many viruses to test to justify the costs. While I'm not saying it doesn't have viruses, Mac, due to it's end-to-end closed system (Hardware and software integrated), is a lot more secure then Windows or Linux, which are both more open.

Mac viruses are very rare and hard to find.

@HellJustFroze You're right, but from what I know he can install Windows in a Mac with Boot Camp, so the viruses could be faster (Windows ones). And, when will exist more Mac viruses, he can use also Mac viruses. Oh, and I have a Mac (without Windows), but I don't want to brake my Mac because then that $1100 would be losed and that Mac also. And my Mac (iMac) is the newest one, it's the iMac 21, 5''. And I don't want to use the installation CDs yet.

I have got the same opinion as you. I've got a Mac and a PC, and I'm using more the PC than the Mac. In my opinion, Windows is much better than Mac, but each one have it's own advantages. The Macs almost haven't got any virus, maybe one or two, but the Windows has got lots of viruses. And the Windows has got much more applications than Mac, just as FSX.

If you didn't know yet, EXIST Mac viruses. Mine got infected and deleted all the data was on the phone I connected (iPhone 4S): TomTom GPS (90€), photos, etc. :| Good it didn't delete also the OS :|

@GhostRecon141 If you have a video of a hacker making a mac explode at free will alone (Read: No explosives/gasoline), I'd love to see it.

Aside from that, good point, but Hackintoshes can be quite buggy if not made right. That's why Apple makes closed systems, when it's integrated, it usually works well, but if not you have a lot more room to screw up, especially when mixing incompatible hardware and software.
