Here's seven signs from a person who has taken up through multivariable calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra:
1. You long for the days when a single math problem took up less than one page
2. You can type on a TI-84 without looking
3. Working on equations is relaxing to you, and you can do it with TV on in the background- until, of course, you get to integrating certain trigonometric and INVERSE trigonometric functions- then you cry
4. You can do triple integrals but you can't remember what 5x8 is right off the bat (your normal math abilities are ruined)
5. You can wax poetic about the elegance of your favorite equation (I'm a fan of Lagrange polynomials, though I learned about those in Numerical Methods- it's like they rhyme!)
6. You feel that you owe your very life to Wolfram Alpha
7. PEOPLE FOR SOME REASON EXPECT YOU TO BE SOME KIND OF DAMN LIVING CALCULATOR

This is very untrue. It’s more like 7 signs of being an accountant. There’re many fields of Maths, some people who do pure maths, like myself, became not very familiar with calculating in our heads because we tend to focus more on solving equations and rules of Maths. My professor in Abstract algebra can’t even count numbers. So please please fix the video, don’t spread false information. We need more people to like Maths. Maths is not all about boring calculating, it’s a true language of nature that allows people to understand nature itself.
