You made a mistake when solving 3(xy)^2 *x
You were supposed to foil, but you just squared x and y individually.
It would be 3x^3+6x^2y+3y^2.

I think that (XY)^2 is x^2+2xy+y^2 and that times 3x is 3x^3+6x^2y+3xy^2.

i know this video is posted a long time ago, however i dont understand why in the second step it is 3x ^3 instead of 3x ^2. if anyone knows why, that would help me alot. thxx

Instead of writing (xy)^3, I'd just write this as (x^3)(y^3).
