I think a great way to bring Savathun back while also keeping her under control would be using one of those Cabal light suppressing devices. Would definitely shake up the morality.

Some things I’ve noted:

Bungie does like to have an underlying theme & repetitive aspect of a seasonal content on a yearly basis.

Comparing to witch queen to this release cycle.

Season of the Risen: a season that has us face lucent hive with the assistance of our Allies abilities.

Season of Defiance: a season that has us face the dark legion with the assistance of our Allies abilities.

Season of the Haunted: an old destination returns, we are given our first clue to what the next expansion shall be, reprised weapons from year 2 come back.

Season of the Deep: an old destination returns, we are given a clue to what our next expansion will be, reprised weapons from year 2 come back.

Season of Plunder: the previous antagonist Eramis is back!! We are given at the end of the season a destination we have no idea how to get to.

Season of [redacted]: the previous antagonist Savathun is back!! Savathun will probably give us the information to enter the traveler, but we will be unable to act on it.

If the return raid is leviathan, then that is the biggest let down in D2 history. Just sad and lazy

Cyberpunk 2077 crossover would be epic, Maxtac Titans, Arasaka Warlocks, and Street Samurai hunters.

I hope the FF collab gives hunters Clive's gear in the late game of FF16 or Tidus's gear. Titans should get Clouds Set and Warlocks should get Sephiroth's gear.

Man, I really want some major battle to take place within the last city with all the major factions going at it.
The Coalition of Sol (maybe including the lucent brood) vs. all the in-game forces of the Witness
Maybe even the Vex of the sol collective might get involved on our side as well.

Crota's end is the Reprised raid that is returning due to the fact dataminers found the assets for crota's raid like his court and entrance to the pit where his raid begins.

Season 23 Season of the Kell would be perfect to bring back Skolas. The Prison of Elders dungeon.

It's LeViathan - luh-vy-eh-thun- not Lethiathan. Never heard anyone pronounce it the way you're doing.
I hope the season actually progresses like a story. First we have to get amaru, then we have to do whatever else, then we finally resurrect her. As opposed to what Bungie usually does which would be to focus an entire season on getting Immaru and then focus an entire season on resurrecting Savathun. Drip.

We probably revive savathûn mid season cutscene then she tells us how to access the portal in the last week, season 23 is us getting/doing what’s required to enter to lead into final shape. That’s just my theory based on leaks and how bungie said they wanted light fall to be a continuation of a singular story.

Edit: if it’s a fallen season as we’ve seen some leaks say we probably are racing against Eramis and her forces to get what’s required, we probably kill her and maybe she’s revived as the first Eliskni Guardian? If we don’t kill her in seasonal story I wouldn’t be surprised if she was the dungeon final boss

Although WoTM would be my pick, It would be cool to get leviathan back with some hopefully updated encounters I always absolutely loved the weapons from it

I have a theory
That Mithrax will get to Eramis and she will help us and betray the witness, uniting the Fallen and bringing an end to that storyline
But the witness will kill Eramis

season 22, rezzing our queen, season 23, figuring out how to go thru the portal!!! There will be Hive allies at the H.E.L.M. And I would love a dungeon going thru the wrath of the machine raid, or parts of the City raid
