What Tire Slime Looks Like Inside Tire and Why Mechanics Hate It!!

Here is why Tire Slime should be used as a last resort and why Tire repair shops usually charge more and ask if tire sealant has been used. Slime in non- explosive but it sure creates a mess! Slime has to be cleaned off rim to enable new tire to fully seat the bead on the rim or you will have bead leaks. Also patching and plugging tires will have a higher failure rate as the rubber cement cannot adhere to rubber as slime blocks it. USE IT AS A LAST RESORT!!

Correct. Fees are over a dollar a minute, and some whiney mechanic gets all butthurt because the 83 year old woman was helped on the side of the road by someone who had some tire slime. What a prime example of why there are no more mechanics since now they are just self-grandizing parts changers with pissybritches. I miss the days of motor heads.

OK it is sunday and I need to use my tractor. All the shops are closed. What are my choices? Tire plug didn't work, Patch didn't work, Tire SLIME worked. I have my equipment back in service, making money. Ya ok so the shop will charge more to repair the tire. So what! Things like this happen and we need a quick and easy fix.

Slime isn’t a quick and easy fix - it’s added security and has helped a lot of people in dire circumstances. Doesn’t matter if tire shops don’t like it.

Cleared some big bougainvilleas from my property. Just got a new tractor and getting thorns constantly in the tires. No way I’m plugging them all. Sliming all the tires. It’s the only solution for me.

Imagine a doctor complaining and charging extra just cuz he has to clean the ointment off the stab wounds that the patient had put on to keep themselves alive until arriving at the clinic shop LOL Smfh....

I’ve used slime a lot. I’ve never been charged extra for it when eventually replacing the tires thousands of miles later.

With 20 plugs in my ATV tires I had constant slow leaks ..so I added slime +2 tablespoons crumbled rubber ..zero flats now ..the larger crumbled rubber particles makes the slime handle much bigger holes than just using stock slime

15minutes? Are you kidding me? It’s water based. Can just hose it off. It’s non toxic so can just wash it down the drain

So you want me to be stranded on the side of the road with a flat tire so you don't have to use a $100 pressure washer and 5 minutes to clean it up? Gee, let me think, stranded on the side of the road for hours or a small inconvenience to a tire shop? Okay I'm going with the slime. Guess what? I bought my own tire machine because I got tired of shops complaining, charging, putting tires on wrong and damaging rims. Yes, that's right, I would rather spend $2k so I can change my own tires.

Slime is AWESOME ! But Most people use WAY TOO MUCH !
Simply inject a Tiny amount & roll tire around until it faces down & let it do it's thing. After a few mins. If it hasn't sealed it up completely. Add a Tiny bit more. & I mean "TINY". Usually no more than twice will do it.
And you will notice that you still have ( 90+% ) of the bottle left.
You can verify what I'm saying by simply looking at these tires once they are removed. The puncture has long since been sealed but they still have a majority of the can sloshing around.
Such a Waste. BUT ... they sell more Slime that way.

😭 Poor babies have to actually clean a rim.. they're supposed to every time but they're so used to cutting that corner doing it feels extra...

They should give you a discount if you don't have slime, not charge you more, if you do.

Those mechanics are incredibly lazy. I know because I've worked with them. All it takes is a mop and sponge but that's what happens when you drink and smoke all night and whine all day at work.

Wouldn’t it mess with the balance of the wheel having all that in there

It don’t take 15 minutes take to grass and then use paper towels. Sure that’s a big ass wheel. But it’s biodegradable so it’s fine to dump in grass or down drain.

Now fix a flat is nasty shit as it dries once air hits it. Causing it to hardens like epoxy.

Plan b would be for the tire repair shop to just shut up and do their job. That’s an option.

I saw the tip on another video to deny any use of it, and when they find it, blame the wife.
I have to run something for the honey locusts on my side by side.

If I heard right he was going to put a tube in the tire. Slim will eat up the tube if you do not clean it all out. I've heard of people trying to use it inside tube tires not realizing it would eat up the tube.😢
