Hunter gatherers usually have a territory they move around on, and a wintering spot where their supplies for the season would be stored, the pottery could have been for storage and left in the place they were going to be used, rather than carried with the hunting parties. It also could be a place where the less mobile members stayed year round while the hunting parties ranged out and searched for game. Older arthritic seniors and very young children may have been year round residents of that spot, there is plenty of evidence of older or crippled members being cared for by the group, and their role may have been the gathering and preservation of local produce and small game while the big game hunters travelled to find the migrating animals. Pottery containers would have helped protect stored seeds and nuts from rodents and other small pests.

I've had coins from long before I was born in my possession. I presume others have been in the same situation. Someone dropped a family good luck piece in the desert. It happens. No real mystery there. The rest of the stuff, kinda cool. Dinosaurs in wall paintings? Really?
