How to Make a Coloring Page in Procreate!

If you've ever wanted to turn your artwork into coloring pages to give away or sell or make a coloring book of your art, get ready to learn how to do just that right on your iPad in Procreate! In this live tutorial, I'm teaching you how to design and create your very own coloring pages in Procreate! I'll take you through laying out your scene, making a sketch, how to make clean line art, and setting up your files if you want to offer them as a .Procreate download or a printable PDF. We'll be drawing an under-the-sea scene, but you can apply these techniques to any type of artwork you can imagine!

at 59:00 or so you start outlining the submarine, and I'd like to drop the only two cents I have and discuss your line weight for a second.

Line weight is a great way to emphasize and indeed, make your drawing pop. Of course, art, in general, is subjective, but the best practices I've found when getting that crispy line art are the following:

Things closer to the viewer: thicker lines
Things further away: Thinner lines

That being said we are talking about a coloring book page here, so instead, I'd opt for making the lines facing the bottom of the page thicker and the lines facing the top either thinner or left the same. This would suggest either light from the top, or even to help suggest the 3d shape of the object.

If you use a different color to do the outline drawing instead of black, how can you change that to Black later if you choose to change it to a different color throughout your drawing?

Loved the video .. I’m interested in making a colouring book from my drawing on procreate.. do I need to do anything after drawing? Convert it to svg or pdf? Or I can just save the photos on iPad and go to pages to create a book?
