As a retired professor, I had some home schooled students. They had a better knowledge of self and are extremely confident and well spoken. compared to public school students. They were all top students. They had great time skills. They all went on to what used to be Top Universities. They were very respectful, unlike the public school students who came for college credit and just thought it should be handed to them.
However, I have to add that all parents are NOT suitable to homeschool.
ADD - You do NOT need to have great degrees to teach your children. Also, if many in your area are homeschooling (In my area they have their own school bus). Parents have all kinds of skills. So, some days, they may go with a group to another parents house and take carpentry with geometry or other math skills, physical ed if someone is certified to teach those skills, art or music class, homemaking skills, field trips and on and on. Also, where I live now, the children can join the sports teams.

I homeschooled back when homeschooling wasnt popular. My children are now grown ages 34 and 31 and both are sucessful, son is a river boat pilot and daughter is an author. And I wouldnt have changed a thing. Sure there were days that was tough, but i loved it a d miss it know.

This video came at the best time! I just want to thank you for taking the time to be real with us and to point new homeschooling families in the right direction! We just decided after several months of thought and conversations to homeschool our 10 year old twins. It has been on my mind for several years now. They both have dyslexia and struggle with normal school life. The last 3 months of school was a hot mess for them. With the next year approaching and plans of starting the new year off virtually and then moving to blended for the next month and so on To much stress for their little struggling minds to be bouncing back and fourth so much. I'm so blessed to be able to have the option to choose to homeschool my children. ❤️

I used to wonder if I could have taught my daughter at home, though I had to work full time to help with finances in our family, do that wasn't to be - but your wonderful explanation of homeschooling really made it obvious to me that it wouldn't have worked for me, .
I did, at least, teach my child to read, and to love learning through reading, so I don't feel bad now that I could do no more 🙂
My mum taught me how to read, too, and it woke in me a whole lifetime of the love of learning, so I wanted the same for my child.
It's such a real blessing to have experienced that much with my own child 😀

Been homeschooling for 7 years . It is wonderful, patience is a required subject 😂🤣 ! I’m Grammy raising a grandson, been homeschooling since 3rd grade . It takes a bit of getting used to but works for us, good luck everybody ! Be blessed and favored 🙏🏽❤️

I also have 7 kids (all boys) with just 12 years start to finish but the first 5 in 5 years. Home schooling wasn't for us although I am a credentialed teacher and my oldest was reading "Hardy boys" in Kindergarten. We absolutely support the Homeschooling community.

My daughter home schools her son. He is in his last year of high school. He is actually doing great. He was in the church school, but the pastor changed the curriculum from Abeka to something where the kids sat in front of a computer screen and listened to some professor or teacher in some college-teach. He had to watch a computer screen all the time. He hated that, so she pulled him out and went back to Abeka. So many things were changing. They also pulled out our pews in the church and put in chairs. We just don't like all these new age things. Have a Wonderful & Blessed Day!
