In this video we explain how two elements - T-cells and antibodies - work together to tackle invading viruses, and why this could be crucial for vaccine development.
The #COVID19 vaccine developed by the Oxford University’s Jenner Institute and Oxford Vaccine Group - funded by UK Research and Innovation's Medical Research Council and the National Institute for Health Research - made headlines in 2020 when the results of early stage trials revealed that it produces strong immune response and shows no early safety concerns.
Volunteers given the vaccine showed strong T-cell and antibody responses against the #coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
