This is just fantastic! Thanks so much! I'm studying for an Immunology module at Uni and this was so helpful! I have been looking over and over lectures and it just wasn't going. This was so much easier to understand!

The most important thing here not mentioned about T cells however is they do not activate CD8 without the presence of D3 on the Tcell D receptor. Must have sufficient vitamin D in the blood stream. It is also why vitamin D deficiencies are now associated with higher rates if cancer. CD8 T cells are front line offense against cancer cells.

Can anyone help me? I had blood test done the day after covid vaccine. Everything came back OK except my Lymphocytes which was 0.30, was this due to vaccine? I'm terrified and anxious over ig

Pls make a sister version that replaces all the complex names with simple plain English metaphorical names such as "signal", "killer cell" etc. Too easy to get lost in the various names. People need to know about vaccines at the moment. Pls also do one on adjuvants

Thanks very much for explaining the make up of B and T cells in a way a layman like myself can understand.
This is going to help me prove that by my vets prescribing Apoquel to my dog, (Apoquel suppresses the part of the dogs immune system used to fight infections and tumors of any kind) it turned off his B and T cells in his immune system that was fighting a benign tumor, which then caused his lymph nodes to become enlarged and he died from lymphoma. That's basically what happened without going into to much detail. Many thanks.
