Is Sokka Suyin's Father? The Avatar Theory Explained

Sokka is not the kind of guy to be a dead-beat dad. Also, if this were true, I don't think Tenzin would have ever dated Lin. Sure, it wouldn't mean that THEY were related, but the closeness of the family ties would be real awkward.

This theory has more holes in it than swiss cheese.

Genetics? Because all people with darker skin must be related? Incidentally Suyin's skin tone is the skin tone of half the people of the Earth Kingdom. And many people in the Fire Nation and the Water Tribe. But **only** Sokka could give Toph a kid with darker skin.


And speaking of resemblance and genetics - Suyin's husband Baatar also looks **a lot** like Sokka, and Baatar's looks were passed to his kids. So does that mean Suyin must have married her half brother? Because anyone who looks like Sokka is Sokka's kid. Varrick also looks like Sokka, even speaks and acts like him. Are they all Sokka's kids?

And Sokka stood by and let his daughter just become a criminal? And didn't give her a place to crash away from Republic City when he was a Councilman and a Chieftain?

There is one reason, and one reason only that Sokka would ignore the kid. And that's if he was married (most likely to Suki), cheated with Toph, and did it to save his relationship. Good luck selling that angle to Nickelodeon.
