We enjoyed it alot, especially in Imax.
It spends a bit too much time paying homage to past films, but still had enough BEAUTIFUL imagery and FX, along with fresh, new stuff. Best looking Xenomorphs since Aliens. Please get out there, support your local theater, don't over analyze it, grab some popcorn and get settled in for fun at the movies.

I thought it was a 6/10 myself. I would've liked to have seen more of the planet and how crappy the mining conditions were with an accident, or a scene being down in the mines to sell me on the angst/ deplorable conditions more. Maybe a scene with her father dying, or something/ anything, A crew of seasoned teens piloting around a ship didn't work for me at all especially when they were acting like teens. I did like the effects of the ship flying through the atmosphere into space. Another thing that bothered me was that is was a Weyland Yutani ship station, conducting Weyland Yutani experimentation, and crashing into a Weyland Yutani mining planet, but they have no clue, but a group of mining teens with a ship?? somehow know about it. lmao. I could go on and on. It wasn't all bad, but for it didn't live up to the hype at all for me.

The call backs to events that haven't taken place yet was an eye roll for me. I liked the first two thirds of the film...
I was impressed with the design of this research station. It reminded me of the Nostromo.

I love how the screen pics are well lighted, then you see a dark, squint your eyes movie.

I was not fully invested in Rain. I loved Andy. Rain was solid but we knew nothing bad would happen to her. The other characters needed to be stretched out more. They never breathed going from segment to segment. Not much problem solving as a group.

The practical effects were amazing, and I frickin' loved that zero gravity bit. the dialogue callbacks were extremely unnecessary and dumb, only thing I didn't like. This was nowhere near as good as his Evil Dead, too. which I may have liked more than the original Evil Dead.

I loved it, even though it feels as if Fede Alvarez placed all the Alien movies in a blender. 😂 As a nerdy fan, I wish to see a director connect the plot to LV426. 🙏

I loved this movie, had a lot of fun watching it and really enjoyed Fede’s perverted touch on the whole thing. Did anyone else notice he used a choir in the score just like in evil dead 2013? It’s the little things

Not sure whether it was censored but when the full grown xenomorph approached Kate possibly her biological mother? The scene quickly switched to Rain. So did Kate died???

The movie was too comic-book ... and casting of main character was really poor - She unfortunately did not sell the role for me

This was a dissapointment - 2 of 5 for me. Im hearing its "the best since Aliens". Give it a month or two when the hype´s died down and everybody will agree thats a bucket of horsemanure. On a pure technical note; the movie is way to dark at times, as in "I cant make that out"-dark.
