The Turkish Get Up is one of the fundamental kettlebell exercise, but can also be one of the trickiest to learn.

So, in this video, Pat Flynn and Aleks Salkin walk you through the Turkish Get Up, one step at a time, so you can nail the nuances of the exercise.

Doing so will not only increase your Turkish Get Up performance, but aesthetics, as well. Because a strong Get Up is also a pretty Get Up!

Any questions, drop a comment.

Strong ON!

Steps for learning the Get Up in reverse:

1) Press a kettlebell overhead.
2) Tap your opposite leg, and step back into a deep lunge.
3) Rotate your back shin, so your knee points outward.
4) Sink into your hips, and plant your hand on the ground.
5) Sweep the leg through, and come onto your butt.
6) Roll to the forearm.
7) Roll to your back.

Reverse the steps, and you've (hopefully!) done a successful Turkish Get Up. Good luck!

si me dieran a elegir un solo ejercicio para hacer el resto de mi vida...sería el TGU!

The problematic part for me is the ''ground to elbow step'' under load... I kinda round the higher back (desk, computer bad posture) + crunch the abs + the extended leg come up the ground (and I read somewhere that = lack of strength in Abs) Dos the power is suppose to come from the bended leg or the Abs or the posterior Delt. & Back ? Or is it just a matter of pivot and balance of the mass of the Kb who cross the middle line in front of you for leverage ???
