Smoking during pregnancy is one of the main causes of stillbirth.

Stopping smoking – even partway through your pregnancy – will have a positive impact on your baby’s health and reduce the risk of stillbirth. Also you should avoid other people who smoke, as secondhand smoke still raises the risk.

Still Six Lives is a campaign dedicated to the six lives lost each day in Australia to stillbirth. If you are pregnant – or close to someone who is – there are some simple things you can do to reduce the risk.
