📃 Video Summary:
Soaking chia seeds improves nutrient absorption. It's also easy and fun to do.
When you eat soaked chia seeds, they slow down your digestion, including the time it takes for your stomach to empty.
This means you'll feel full for a longer period of time.
Additionally, soaking activates chia seeds, making them more bioavailable to your body.
There's no need to soak chia seeds overnight.
However, it does help to maximize the benefits.
Aside from making amazing chia pudding recipes with chia gel, chia’s ability to soak water makes it much more valuable to the body.
The only time you should consider eating dry chia seeds is when you have a condition called acid reflux.
In this case, dry chia more likely absorbs the acid, easing acid reflux.
Water-soaked chia seeds are also easier to digest, and the nutrients they provide are better absorbed in your body.

How long should you soak chia seeds for?
Place your water and chia seeds in a mason jar.
Shake it for about 2-3 minutes and let it sit in the refrigerator overnight.
However, if overnight soaking isn't an option, you can also achieve a good gel consistency after 2-3 hours of soaking.
And if you’re in a hurry, simply swish the chia and water around in the sealed mason jar for about 5 minutes.
To achieve a good gel-like consistency, let it sit for another 5-10 minutes.

I soak them overnight in unsweetened vanilla Almond milk with Monk fruit sweetener. Here's the recipe:
3 tablespoons of chia seeds, 2 tablespoons of Monk fruit sweetener and 1 cup unsweetened vanilla Almond milk. Stir for about 2 minutes then refrigerate overnight. In the morning add another 1/4 to 1/2 cup of Almond milk and stir until smooth. Tastes great!

Can you explain the difference in soaking overnight versus only 10 minutes? What would you be missing out on?

If you put the seeds in very warm water, they will react a lot faster than just room temperature water.
