I'd like to have a moment of silence for all of the Apple fanboys out there, who tried to tell us that one NAND chip was good enough.

Finally! Looks like the pressure from the tech community actually worked! Props for you guys and every YouTuber out there who called Apple out. Now time for 16 GB of ram minimum on the base M4 MacBook Pro

Thank you so much for doing your video reviews as I tell all my customers to check you out before buying a MacBook iPad etc

Thank you for bringing us this upgrade. Pretty sure Apple wouldn't have done this if it weren't for this channel lmao.

Congrats guys, nobody can pretend that it wasn’t your channel that played a major role in this. I know regular guys who knew *nothing* about technology, who were aware of this and would come up and ask me “I need a MacBook, is it true that I need to avoid the base model M2?” And of course I’d always say yes. No need anymore!

What am I gonna pick the iPad Air 6 M2 chip or the New iMac M3 chip???

I was wondering if we can get a first generation M1 MacBook Pro versus the M3air comparison. Because I'm still using my 2020 M1, I'd like to see what I'm missing.

i assume this was exclusivity a problem with the 8gb models since 16gb doesnt have to use swap much? i just bought a 16gb m2 so wondering if it will affect me much

Man that one was great, what a great channel💙

There was always 2 slots, right? So this is only relevant to the base 256gb model, right? Once you upgrade to more storage, there would be no performance difference, right?

Does the base model M3 13” have the two NAND chips? Or do I have to upgrade to 512GB to get the benefits over the M2

*Does the 256GB Apple Vision Pro have two NAND chips?*

what about 15" model? does it also have two NAND chips in case of 256 GB SSD

8:20 Wait did I hear that right? A single 128GB NAND is more expensive than a single 256GB NAND? So 2x128GB is more expensive than 2x256GB?

So instead of giving users 512GB as the base which would solve the speed issue and give more capacity, Apple decided to spend more money on worse components just to keep their aggressive pricing ladder the same?!

If you had to give a closest comparison to a macbook pro of old in the silicon lineup over the years in terms of performance and workload where would a 24gb RAM Macbook Air 15inch compare?

Hi, i just purchased the 16 gb / 512 gb ssd - can i assume that it will have 2 * 256 gb ssd / nand chips?

The AP0256Z label in AmorphusDiskMark just means that it's the same controller chip configured to 256GB, or that's just the model Apple wants the controller to report to the OS anyway. Whether it's a single NAND package or multiple generally isn't considered for SSD model numbering. We learned this a few years ago when Adata and WD were swapping parts around on SSDs while retaining model numbers.
