Maybe the secret message reads "Help, I'm trapped in a foxconn factory and I can't leave!"

It could be a machine-readable code used in manufacturing, or the serial number for the chassis

the brail reads "warranty is now void"

The left side says "abb\45/\5/;, but'\46/
the right side says "andg\456/\45/ people:"
Yes I input the dots in an actual scale by hand to get a text output. This does not seem to be a secret message it is very much likely that this is a rapid instruction set for a factory machine.

The marks could be DPM (Direct Product Marking) - which is used in manufacturing of engine blocks, allows components to be traced through the supply chain and each part's lifecycle

I really appreciate the solid 30 seconds of the sound of those pull tabs coming off 🤣 10/10

I'm always amazed how you manage to re attach everything after the teardown. Normally if I do a teardown, the thing's not getting back together

That's probably Braille for "Warranty Is Void".

This channel has been fulfilling my need to take things apart to see how it's made for years, but without leaving me with a scrapheap of "can't quite put it back together, plus have a sudden extra amount of screws". Thanks!

I'm really curious about the braille text, what if it's something like "do not disassemble"

I've never seen Zack this caution while gutting a brand new peace of tech! LOL I totally get it! Also that knife around the aluminum body gave me the chills

I know the Apple repairability complexity is a meme but I appreciate how clean the MacBook is on the outside and inside got some talented engineers

I'm not a apple fan boy or uses anything but gotta admit damn their build inside is crazy!

The sound of the pull tape was so melodious and it thrilled me.

The braille should be readable from the other side when you take out the trackpad. So if you take a picture and scan the picture such that the braille is flipped then maybe the app you have can translate it

I believe that the braille conforms to the Unicode 6-dot pattern standard as detailed on the wiki titled: Braille Patterns.

If read from your perspective (with the hollows of the dots facing you):

Left reads: A2B”6^#
Right reads: &G_^ P3

If read from the raised dot perspective (ie looking at the face pointing away from you):

Left Reads: 3? BLGY
Right reads: VB41B2A

Of course, it could also be upside down…in which case:

With hollows facing you:

Left: 3# 2L7Y
Right: P2J12B’

From the perspective of the bumps facing you:

Left:, ^;”H;?
Right: &7_; V3

Take your pick!

I shouldn’t have laughed as hard as I did at that first noisy pull tab 😂

6 months late but this is amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen Zack do teardown on a MacBook before. I’m sure he’s done it before I even watched his channel. But he’s an amazing YouTuber.
