Can A GTX 1060 Still Game In 2023?

In this video, we're putting a GTX 1060 to the test to see how it performs in modern games at 1080p resolution. With a release date of 2016, the GTX 1060 is considered a mid-range GPU, but can it still handle the latest games in 2023? Dude i'm running GTX 1060 6 gb with my new Ryzen 7800x3d... I had in 2022 with i5 13600kf ..in 2021 with i5 11400f... in 2019 with i7 6700 and 2017 with pentium g4560 and g4400 .. my GTX 1060 6 gb is a legendary GPU i will never sell it i will keep it it's a GEM of my life journey i changed 5 PC and still running

Nice review of the 1060. I totally agree with the video argument, i bought an Rx 570 about a month and im really happy with its performance. Playing doom eternal all on high no issue, a bit of uncharted 4 same there, a mix of high and med and good to go. A lot of pubg with friends and no issue at all, every on low in this game except AA and textures wich are on medium, but the card manage to give 100 fps most of the time so nice there. 1080p doesn't really need that much graphic power to render, specially if we dont mind lowing to mid some settings.

I'm using ASUS GTX 1060 3Gb for plaing WoT with Ultra graphics (~100 FPS). I bought it for 6000 rubles (~85 USD) 3 weeks ago and that's enought for me. If you don't need to play all new games with high settings you don't need to buy very expensive graphic card. Yes, I'm gonna change it to card with more VRAM, but after a year I think. From Russia with love!

you know i have a 4070 i play at 1440p but i still enjoy watching videos like these. the 1060 was a better value then todays 4060 3060. 2020s really messed up with record high inflation and manufactioring cost i dont thing there will be anything like the 10 series ever again those days are gone...

Nice video, i own a Asus Dual OC GTX 1060 6GB and it still can deliver on older titles like Shadow of the Tomb Raider which is a 2018 game. I would love to watch a part 2 of this testings maybe on some more modern games like Dead Space Remake, RE4 Remake, Remnant 2, Assassin's Creed, Lords of the Fallen, The Matrix Awakens, Diablo 4 etc.

Even Witcher 3 NextGen looks great with this card (6gb) + pretty old Intel Core i5 3570k (4cores/4threads, 3.8Ghz) and only 4x2 Gb of RAM on Ultra+ (HBAO+, all settings Ultra+ or medium, shadows quality - medium, foliage - low or medium, Dx11).

Thanks for the video. Clearly still a capable card. My friend's upgrading his PC and has offered me his 1060 for MYR200 or about GBP35/USD40, which is an absolute steal if you're living in the UK/US, but for context my monthly salary is only about RM2, 200. I'll probably take him up on his offer since I've been wanting to get something better than the 750Ti I've been running on for the past four or five years. However, I am a bit concerned about how much longer the 1060 has left before it dies.

I found a GTX 1060 6G in a container, together with an Asus Maximus VII with 4 Ghz i7 cpu and 16 Gb 2133 Mhz DDR3.😀 It works, and just needed to be cleaned. It was full of dust and dirt.

I got a good PC for $300. Specs are:
MSI Z370-A pro motherboard
i7 8700k
GTX 1060 6GB Turbo
16GB DDR4 RAM at 3000MHz
Corsair H100i 240mm AIO cooler
Kediers C570 open air case
I overclocked the CPU to 4.7 and did a mild overclock on the GPU. The difference in performance from stock settings is definitely noticeable.

The 1060 is great, yes, but admittedly the 1660 does beat it out with more efficiency and for right about the same price now.

Currently playing AC Valhalla with my 1060 6 GB with Medium settings, and I'm getting 60 fps. Haven't tried the game on High settings though.

Those a old optimized games from 2019 and valheim wich runs crap on a many gpus but is also not super intensive but stutters even on my rtx 3070 . Ans thank u for saying good words God bless u .
