A real shame that Nvidia artificially handicapped the GTX 1060 by not allowing SLI. Obviously, it's a power play to ensure that you can't get GTX 1080 performance with a cheaper configuration, and there's definitely downsides to going with two lower powered cards over a single high powered card, but it's one of those things that just leaves a little sour aftertaste on what is otherwise a decent product.

Already 370€ in my country.. Pc gaming is actually becoming expensive at this rate.. I'd never believe we'd see a x60 model from Nvidia priced like a high end card lol.

The pricing on these new 1000 series cards are fucked. I can see why AMD's RX 480 is so compelling for £220 while the 1060 is an extra £50+. The lack of SLi support on the 1060 is super messed up too.

you are literally the only reviewer to mention out of the gate that the 4gb version exists.... everyone else comparing price to performance is only comparing the 1060 to the 8gb version. guess they're afraid to admit the 4gb version is better price to performance? doesnt make sense to me. then again you guys are the ones who took the time to prove the 4gb and 8gb have identical performance. good on you for actually providing the full picture.

"RX 480 for future proofing" enough said, AdoredTV said the same thing and i agree too based on how Nvidia handles there cards and how much Vulkan and DX12 is crazy for AMD now a days.

RX 480 8GB: $3.93 per frame RX 480 4Gb version: $3.27 per frame

So the 1060 is faster, but not as great a value, at least not right now with this Sucker's Edition bs
