This was my first car chase as a police officer and when it happened I did not believe what I saw. These kids maybe 10 years old had stolen the car and when they opened the door it hit them in the head and split their head open.

Very interesting, growing up I had friends that stole cars all the time, yes, parents find out and yes, they get a whooping, old-school parenting, but did it again etc, however, they didn’t receive felonies for it, times have changed since the 80s, well that’s Palm Beach County for ya😂, thank you ever so much for sharing, love your storytime quickies💯💪✌🏻💞😎

10yos can be charged with felonies? Also you felt it more important to chase after one of the children than attend to the one who was potentially mortally wounded?

So your first inclination was to chase the children who ran, instead of trying to help the child who was bleeding profusely, and potentially dying from a serious head injury!? Sounds about right…
