The MISTAKE that most people make in life, is they MAKE BABIES before they MAKE MONEY.

I came from the ghetto and saw my mother struggle. I promised myself I would never bring another life into this world until I had at least 50k in the bank and medical insurance.

And when my first kid was born I had over 75k in the bank. More people need to think like this to avoid a lifetime of poverty and suffering.

He should've made the kid wait one more day for the shoes. Stop with the instant gratification.

What kind of parent chooses to spend $200 on sneakers rather them keep the lights on. There not living paycheck to paycheck. they have no money management skills. I don't feel sorry for their irresponsible chooses.

For a family living paycheck to paycheck, the House is pretty loaded toys, including the kitchen. The father is talking about buying his son basketball shoes with Grandma's dollars when he should buying shoes at Walmart or Payless. This family needs financial education, not more money in my opinion.

These people need to prioritize differently. My family came here from Asia with $0 in their pockets. I remember at the age of 4, my mom took me to Chuck E Cheese's with $1.75 in her pocket. We spent NONE of it because I just picked up tokens from the floor or watched other kids play. What's wrong with ADMITTING that you ARE suffering a little and teaching your kid STRENGTH? If you give them what they want, like that kid wanting "ice cream ice cream, " you straight up tell them NO. Either you eat your dinner or go to bed hungry. The kids need to learn RESPECT. AND last but not least, girlfriend better start learning how to make some rice dishes. Asian market : sack of rice for $25 will feed you for a month. Stop playing. That's what we grew up on.

Sorry but $200 shoes? No. Sounds like he's mooching off gramma. They didn't deposit check in time and he took money from account to buy the shoes and he is afraid he can't pay bill on time? That's on them --both those things could have been prevented. Buy the $70
Shoes instead of $200. Come on.

1:58 Vacation is not an option when you can't pay bills on time. Hope things get better for this family.

If they really are struggling financially, they sure could sell all that junk they have around the house.

They have a “vacation fund” LMFAO. My 3 kids are teens and we have NEVER gone on a vacation. Never. But I am debt free and have enough saved for their college. Priorities, people!

So in the end the basketball shoes were more important than paying the bills....
...and these idiots are still trying to work out where they are going wrong...

They don't seem poor. Their fridge and cupboard looked well stocked. Nice house, nice guitar, puffy kids. Oh yea, I forgot. In America poor people drive cars, have iphones, ipads, jordans, musical instruments, fancy cereal and can eat pizza regularly.

Whenever I think about charging something expensive on one of my credit cards, I watch one of these shows!

This family needs to learn to budget and prioritze! You do not need 200.00 shoes for the kid's basketball games and practice. And you can learn to make nutritious dinners on a budget.

Wait, you're broke and looking at Nikes to buy? I make 280k a year and I go to payless with a coupon.

I’ve seen families in worse situations than this. Look at all those toys, basketball shoes?, a guitar. They can sell stuff to get by. Some people don’t even have their parents to help them.
