Colon Cancer Weird Symptoms (& Why They Occur)

PLEASE NOTE: The bacteria that causes endocarditis and bacteremia in Colon cancer is streptococcus bovis or streptococcus gallolyticus NOT staphylococcus (as written in the slide). Sorry for the confusion!

Colorectal carcinoma (Colon Cancer) is the 3rd to 4th most common type of cancer, that is more likely to occur in older patients, those with a family history of colorectal cancer and in those with a history of inflammatory bowel disease. Colon cancer causes a variety of signs and symptoms, including weird and atypical findings we don’t often think about. In this lesson, we discuss what these “weird” signs and symptoms are and why they occur.

Severe abdominal pain was my first symptom. Then, I had the changes in bathroom habits, blood in the stool, and fatigue. I had a colonoscopy in April 2019, the Dr. found 2 polyps. One benign and one malignant. At that point, I didn't know what stage I was. I went a month later to have a pet scan. It was revealed that it was metastatic colon cancer to my liver. I had chemo, surgery, and more chemo. I'm very thankful to be here!

Wish I knew these symptoms before but it's too late now when I (51 y/o female) got diagnosed ( Stage 4) last July 2023 after a colonoscopy (a day after my birthday). I was admitted into the hospital pronto, from there a death sentence result. Here I am still alive and breathing. Just finished my last chemo treatment 3 weeks ago and on maintenance medical treatments.
Very helpful video with explanation especially the tenesmus which I thought I have fecal incontinence.

Thanks for the information! I've been watching your videos for a while now and so far, I've been "asymptomatic " when comparing myself with each topic of the videos that I've watched, they have really been helpful, I just turned 55 years old and I'm trying to take better care of myself as I age. Greatly appreciate these educational videos. 😊

Reassuring for me. 2 years ago my colonoscopy revealed a few polyps and I have IBS. I see the GI dr. In 3 more years. Armed with this knowledge I realize that so far no worries. Thanks.

I waited a year before seeking help. I had symptoms bloody stool. Excruciating pain. Hours on the toilet. I. Went to my GP who sent me to a surgeon. He took samples and called the next day to confirm what I already knew. He told me the protocol for this type of cancer. A clostomy and remove of a section of bowel. Told him that I could not do that and he sent me another dr. doing research in this area. He brought me into hospital and performed braci therapy. That was over 25 years ago and I have been free.

My mom died of stage four rectal cancer last year, just four months after diagnosis. She brushed off symptoms until it was too late, and her radiologist missed the aggressive tumor on her MRI. By the time we found out, it was too late.

Please fight tooth and nail for your health and advocate for your loved ones. Better safe than sorry.

My first symptom was passing mucus, that led to a colonoscope which revealed an early stage cancerous colon polyps. That was removed with keyhole surgery with no further treatment. That was 4 years ago, 7years after treatment for prostate cancer.

I would think all of these atypical symptoms would lead to bad breath if there is a blockage and nothing can exit properly. How awful for the poor soul who gets these problems.

unfortunately many of the same symptoms exist with IBS

Thankfully there is one great benefit of aging, as time goes on it lessens and eventually eliminates the risk of dying young.

I pray for all those who have symptoms and are fearing it is cancer.... In the Mighty Name of Jesus, All cancers GO .... flee out of these bodies by the powerful Blood of Jesus, to those here who will trust in you... Turn to Him today... He loves you so so much. ❤

I want to share this only to underscore how sneaky this disease is. My stage 3a colon cancer was detected only in a routine colonoscopy. I had no symptoms at all. I was extremely lucky and after surgery and four months of chemo have been in remission for over a year. Do not put off that colonoscopy!

Another cancer-related cause of abdominal distension is ascites: the buildup of fluid in the abdominal cavity itself. This happens because there might be one or more cancer tumors within the abdominal cavity (but outside of the organs) that are secreting fluids into the abdominal cavity. Yes, this CAN happen in colorectal cancer, if it has metastasized into the abdominal cavity.

HELLO, please talk in a video about thyroid nodules at the last stage, are there healing solutions?
What should we do?
, how should we reset our body?,
what are the causes?
And is the period important?
THANK YOU !
