What Were My Colorectal Cancer Symptoms?

What were the symptoms that I experienced leading up to my Colorectal Cancer diagnosis? I’ll share with you what those symptoms were, the timeline of when those symptoms popped up, and what I tried to attempt to fix them.

If you’re experiencing any kind of changes in your body (and it doesn’t have to be potentially cancer-related) here is the list of important things to keep track of for talking with your doctor in order to help figure out what is going on:

1) when did the symptoms start
2) is there anything you do that makes it better or worse
3) what is the quality of the symptom or pain (such as is it dull or sharp pain, is there blood in the toilet or in your stool)
4) if there is pain, does it start in one place then radiate to another
5) how severe is the pain
6) how long the symptoms have lasted

Oh God I can relate to this too much. I had bad stomach issues then regularly started crapping my pants. My stomach got so bad I was canceling plans. I had mucus, blood ect and was always having really foul smelling poops that never made me feel Empty.

I finally saw a doctor. Had stool samples taken, blood work and when was nothing was found I had a scope.

Alas there was a bleeding tumor. I was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer at age 25.. I still wish I aware of resources and people to talk to when I felt like I would never feel normal again.

I had two rounds of chemo and, a round of radiation and two surgeries. I had diarriah 10-20 times a day for 5 years and then gradually my bowels calmed down.

I can't say my stomach is ever going to be great but it got better and hey, I'm alive.

12 years cancer free❤ congratulations to you❤❤

I had similar symptoms. But luckily it was IBS, haemorrhoids and stress that were causing it. After a colonoscopy, it was luckily confirmed it was nothing serious. At the end of the day, it's better to rule out something serious than assuming that it's harmless.

Thank you for sharing . I almost died of colin cancer Aug of 2023. The cancer in my colin was a hugh mass that was ready to burst. If I wouldn't have gone to the hospital that night it would have burst and I would have died. Iam still doing chemo. I finished my radiation and doing well. Please pray for me! I will pray for you and again thank you for sharing. We need to inform more people of this horrible cancer.

Thanks for sharing your experience with colorectal cancer, as unpleasant as it was. It is so important to catch cancer early. I'm a cancer survivor too. I was in my mid-40s when I was diagnosed. Thank goodness for Obama care or I wouldn't be here to write this.

Thank you for sharing and I'm so glad you survived. All the best to you. The takeaway for me was that the serious possibilities should be ruled out immediately when there's blood involved.

Your channel is the most informative one I’ve ever seen in relation to colorectal cancer, Ostomy, Ileostomy, Cancer in general and all the related treatments and side effects. I went through much the same as you in the last three years although my ileostomy hasn’t yet been reversed (fingers crossed that will happen next year).

Hi Jelena-I’m really glad to find your channel-at first I thought well she is showing every one else’s stories so I’ll just check out someone who is willing to share his/her own story.

But NOW— I’m SO impressed with how much you are helping me to understand anatomy., symptoms etc that I really want to thank you!!
One thing is that you said there would be a card you were going to put it “above” then you pointed to the air space behind your head where people put video links —but there wasn’t anything no video link that I could click on. Is there a link somewhere else to find the information that you were speaking of?

Thank you so much for everything you have put up on the Internet about CRC stories and how to get help and about screening 👍🌺🌈🙂
