Thank you, you are literally the only youtuber who has actually explained this correctly.

❤ Ty! I was conflicted about this stupid sweet spot. But poking with some tweezers on one end and a finger on the other side, it was very easy to establish that I do indeed have one!

You explain everything so well. I'm always like what the hell is the SWEET SPOT? Now I know thank you! When I was in high-school I let a friend pierce my septum. I always thought it looked weird but at the same time I kept it in because I liked it. Just recently I wanted to see if it was still open. Mind you I was about 17 at the time. I'm 35 now. I used a thin taper and it just went right through. I was looking at it and it sat right in the middle but layed on my lip. I'm like that's freaking ugly!! The shop wants $90 for a septum piercing. Thats ridiculous. So I'm going to just do it myself. I use to pierce my ears when I was little with ice and safety pins lol. Still have them till this day. I pierced my lip with the right needles few years back. I think the septum can't be that hard. I've got tons of jewelry piercing needles clamps wound wash. Shoot I'm ready to go lol.

THANK YOU SO MUCHHH!! I literally thought I don't have a sweet spot at all bc the piercer pierced through the cartilage:') but now I can get it done in the right spot

My septum is in the tip but it’s super low. Which is the reason I took it out. Jewelry looks huge in it due to the gap between it and the bottom of my nose. Like you can see where the hole is without me tilting my head back or pushing my nose up. Anyways, maybe this is why I felt like I got hit in the face with a baseball bat the next day and entire week following. It was painful to even rub my lips together after putting chapstick on. And I have/had a lot of piercings (including many in my ears, so I’m no stranger to cartilage being pierced — daith, conch, industrial, rook, tragus, triple forward helix, etc.), but nothing has hurt like my septum. Yet I hear so many people say theirs was almost painless…

My septum piercing is not in the tip of my nose, its a bit lower. I just realised it recently and it has been bothering me a lot. I pierced it a year ago and it’s already fully healed. Should i pierce it again? Is there a risk of the cartilage ripping between the old piercing and the new one?

I got my septum pierced “professionally” and they pierced it through my thick cartilage and i’ve had it for 3 months now. Does anyone know how long if even it will take to heal if i take it out. I really want to get it repierced correctly!

Is it normal to only be able to feel the sweet spot if I kinda pull my nose down? Like I can feel it right under the cartilage of my nose but only if I pull the bottom of my nose down and it doesn’t seem too small but I’m not sure if this is normal :/

this was so helpful but i'm still freaked that mine isn't in the right place, it seems too low and changing rings is suuuuper painful and tight

I want one but seeing all these stories on the piercer doing it too high or too low i kinda skeptical about it

i really want mine done but i have a very small nose. so when i feel for my sweet spot, i only feel bone. am i just doing something wrong? i’ve wanted it for a few years so i’m super set on it and i really hope i have the right anatomy for it

I fully believed I didn’t have a sweet spot but then I tried poking around with a pair of toothpicks and yep, there it was :)
