In all honesty, I really like Mark. He feels like an actual teenager put in a difficult position. He doesn’t know anything, yet has strong opinions on things. He doesn’t know what to do and since he’s been hurt he wants to shut off from everything. I feel like once he grows up he’ll become an incredible individual. Not good hero, but a good person.

The problem is, this is such a horrible message to people in abusive relationships. Marks the one who needed support, and he didn't get it, like at all. He was made to feel guilty, despite the fact he had been lied too and gaslighted. And the show made it out like it was all a good laugh and good lesson for Mark.

Why do I get the feeling the show was trying to gaslight the audience into taking Ambers side? Mark LITERALLY risked his life for others on multiple occasions at this point in the show, and yet his "friends" still take Ambers side. The version of her in the comics is completely different than the one in the show. In the show she feels stupid and unimportant.
