This scene really has me. I’ve rewatched this so many times because it really resonates with me. I know I’m not a big super hero and my girlfriend doesn’t know what it’s like to be a super hero but me and my girlfriend and two really different people and like Mark says “she needs someone that understands what it’s like a college”. I have no clue how to feel for my girlfriend with three things she goes through and I have a pretty well feeling that she has no clue how to help me either. I feel like a break up is inevitable but I’ll always care about her. I can’t just go back to texting her every day after that though. I’m so lost with my relationship right now and this scene is the only thing that’s really resonated with me and had me properly contemplating everything. If any one that sees this has advice I’d love help

I honestly hope they have a healthy breakup like they did in the comics. They clearly care and love one another, but it just isn't meant to be, and its neither if their fault. At the same time, i also hope mark gets with eve😊

It's painfully obvious how drastically they changed Amber's character in Season 2 compared to what she was in Season 1, it's honestly kind of hilarious. She's literally now what she should’ve been from the start in Season 1. At first she was overly judgmental and narcissistic, always making Mark feel like he was the one in the wrong. But now she’s almost too supportive, agreeing with everything he says and doesn't have a single negative or critical thing to say to Mark at all. “You’re leaving to go to space? Ok babe no problem.” “You were gone for multiple months at a time making me believe you were dead? It’s all good b!” Look they did a good job with fixing her character, the problem is that it's like they flipped a switch and she's a completely different person and it just doesn't work. Looking back at what she was like and what she is now is literally like looking at night and day! You can't tell me they're the same person! Some will make the argument that people can change, but not to the point where they literally sound and act like someone else entirely. She literally says stuff this season that is the complete opposite to what she said last season! I don’t want them to bring her back as a toxic character or say that they should undo all the improvements they’ve given her character. I’m just saying there needs to be a balance from being overly toxic and overly supportive, because this doesn’t feel natural.

Finally it happened. I was waiting 5 minutes into Amber's first scene in Season 1. Damn she's a badly written character. Why'd they make her black though?

You know, while they broke up in the comucs and he started dating Eve, I kinda feel like her dating him is a betrayal on Eve's part. Especially when Amber confided in her about their relationship issues, and it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth if they go through with that like in the comics. I mean, altering her character and William's character and Shrinking Rae's character (in the comics Ray) and death isn't just an adaptation, it's an evolution on the issues readers had with the original comic series and how they're more or less a cautionary tale on what not to do this time around. I may be the minority here, but I hope that the show will help Mark and Amber make it through their troubles and keep their relationship intact. And if not, then I want it to be a clean slate for both of them. Don't date Eve because it's convenient for Mark and don't date pieces of human garbage like Gary because Amber has low self-esteem. Those are my thoughts. Like them. Love them. Respect them. Dislike them. Hate them. Disrespect them. I don't care. My opinions ade just as valid as anyone else's.
