I had an issue where it would not allow me to change the settings of the VM. The solution that worked for me was to discard the saved state. Not sure if anyone else ran into this problem?

Yes I activated CPU virtualization.
I was hoping for a way through VM manager, but I do not think anybody needs help navigating the intuitive GUI, especially given the option of processor cores is one of the very first to pop up in the set up wizard for a new Virtual machine.
