How hard of a spinewhack should a folding knife be able to handle?

Just hit slightly harder it will fail. This design can only take static force, I have 2 marfione amphibians they both fail with very light tap on the spine(a little harder than in the video), but I still love them😂

I’ve found, and this is only my experience with a moderate sample size ….but the Ram Lock, as bar locks go, is solid.

My MSI fails Everytime I do it and no I'm not hitting it super hard, it's kind of a bummer because I love the knife but I'm going to see if I can find a stronger spring for it

I think any maker who give a shit about the folder they sell will spine whack the blade a few times before the knife ships...
