I have recently noticed that instead of saying “through Christ Our Lord…amen” at the end of a prayer many priests are now changing to “through the same Christ Our Lord….amen”. I have referenced my older prayer books and rosary pamphlets where the word “same” is not interjected so if you can clear this up for me I will appreciate it. To use the word “same”, to me seems like a comparison so I’m very uncomfortable when I hear or see this because there is one and only one Jesus Christ Our Lord.
