Considering that it's a rhcp song and John always plays and records on strats the strat is a no brainer. It's not like I've never played that riff on a gibson

For this riff, the strat destroys the les paul.

Strats are my personal favorite so I’m drawn definitely more to the Strat.

Why you give the fender the bright bridge pickup and set the Gibson to middle position. Are you anti-gibsonite? The song calls for a bright sound and you’re not giving a fair comparison

Well, do a riff written on a les paul now

The Gibson sounds great however if you want to sound like the album All twangy and mid-range strat will always win not to mention the volume is higher on that recording

Bridge pickup on strat but middle on LP? PAFs are pretty trebley too. I’m curious why you played on the middle position.

It’s not a matter of what’s better it’s a matter of what type of guitar fits what song obviously the Les Paul doesn’t work for this but the strat sounds great but you wouldn’t play Sad But True on a single cool same difference

It’s played on a Strat so I think of course a Strat sounds better

Maybe use the same switch position for the comparison

Pretty disingenuous… now compare the two playing Enter Sandman … they are both cool but a Les Paul gets a chug that I can’t get on a Strat .. they sound best together in a 2 guitar band . They compliment each other beautifully

They each have there place depending on the song. Both are good guitars.

Fender, all the way... Dawg, every Frusciante riff sounds amazing in a strat

The one it’s actually played on obviously

Hey, lets see what gets better traction in snow, winter tires or drag slicks.

The fender sounds better in this application because it's pickups are better suited for this kind of riff. I'm pro stratocaster but give the les Paul another chance with a heavier more rock and roll riff or maybe a good jazz riff les Paul's are very popular in jazz and blues

I personally cannot decide which is better overall, but for this riff, 100% strat considering John frusciante uses a strat

One just sounds louder than the other and not worth $4300 worth. Just not to me.

The strat sounds better because it was a strat that was used in recording of the song plus the strat has only single coil pickups whereas the Gibson has humbuckers. The strat is a mile better on this riff

Debes usar la cápsula del puente en la gibson y ecualizar de forma distinta
