Budget Red Dot that works

It is thought that cheap gear equals cheap quality. Often that is very correct... but we found an exception with the Vortex Crossfire Red Dot.

Over the past few years, we have used many Crossfire Red Dots made by Vortex Optics. It is one of the only budget optics that we love and can recommend.

In this video, you can get a taste for the features of the Vortex Crossfire and what is has to offer.

I know this is an older video. But I've got one of these on a reptilia mount. Use it passive for nods and with a magnifier. The lack of features is what makes this thing perfect. You can leave the knob between settings. And I beat the hell out of it and it's fine. Vortex also will no question ask warranty it.

Great video! Personally I’ve had a good experience with some of the Holosun red dots.

I got one of these things for free. I have one of the Unity COG mounts with my TA31-CH on it. Someone gave me one of these so I bought Unity's micro offset mount and its been on ever sense. My takeaway. With SS109 out of a 16 inch barrel with this mount 18 inch targets out to 400 yards is easy. With it zeroed to 50 yards I can't hit that distance 9/10 times. The factory mount is garbage. The only daylight bright settings are 9-11. I change out the battery once a year. Overall I'm pleased with it, but I don't think I would trust my life with it. I think you are better off with an Aimpoint PRO

I went with their SPARC and haven’t been let down. Bought it 5 years ago and the battery just died.
