The moonroof noise you referred to is likely due to the roof rack. Those things make noise. As for the paddle shifters working in a "manual" mode, dig into the settings and you'll find you can set the paddle shifters to remain in manual mode with the right setting. I own a CX70 Premium Turbo S and while it isn't perfect, I love this car. I traded my 2023 CX-9 Carbon Edition for the CX-70.

Thank you. I have the Cx 70 premium. 1 month now..love it so far. Its not perfect. Coming from a 2016 chevy malibu and 2 suv's prior to that. Glad to be back into a Suv.

A few things attributed to your test vehicle being Premium Plus are actually featured on my -70 PHEV Premium as well (there’s no Preferred trim for the PHEV), such as heated steering wheel and the “panorama moonroof.”

Also, you can change the settings of the paddle shifter to be permanently manual, the default is the car shift back to automatic after you use it

You should do a comparison video between this and the BMW X5, of course the X5 would win but I would like to see how close the CX70 comes to the X5 for $30k less (when comparably speced)

I have to disagree with you about the matte black around the shifter. I have a CX-5 and a Mazda 6 with the piano black and it’s the worst, it shows every scratch and dust. I’d much rather have the matte black

I don't get it either. Mazda is confusing me and probably other customers. Why not offer a two row CX90 with a third row option trim package as a dealer install kit. A kit you can add on later even. And why not offer a longer CX50 "L" with color match wheel fender trim instead of the Subaru looking cheap black plastic. That would look so much better then it does now. Later add a hybrid 4 Toyota drivetrain. It would rock sales in US.
Did Mazda retune the transmission yet on this ? They lost me again on their entire line. Nothing looks interesting and affordable. And a spare tire is a must in America.
