I saved this. Got to learn that. My ex husband had his hand in my face yelling at me. I grabbed his finger, twisted it hard, and down he went. He couldn't get his 210 pounds up off the floor. It was funny because I was weighing about 105 pounds at the time. Thank you, guys, for teaching me from a very young age.

Love move No 4 how she put him In a lock then casually puts her hair back up and continues on!! 🤣🤣
So Good!
She's also causing him real pain to show what the effect is with these moves on your opponent. Well done.

Amazingly done!! Sensei Seagal has done a lot of these in his movies and his seminars. Aikido is a complex and beautiful martial art, and it also works for self defense despite what a lot of keyboard warriors says (the same guys that when they see a kotegaeshi done by an Aikidoka say "that doesn't work" but when they see a mma guy or a BJJ doing it they say "wow that's very useful")

This is honestly probably the most practical method to use when your husband busts in drunk and the rolling pin doesn’t work anymore.

As an Aikido instructor I admire and find this practical video very inspiring and educational. Yes Aikido can have a practical aspect and is helpful in combat if practices accordingly.
Bravo 👏

Aikido - tough and complicated but rewarding martial art. Trains a kind of flexibility and - what's most important - your spirit.

Aikido is beautiful and simple. There are only 5 basic techniques; ikyo, nikyo, sankyo, ..., and every variation stems from that depending on the circumstances. Endless fun if have a willing partner and mats (ideally). You can hurt yourself really badly really easily, so train with a proper instructor before you get too excited in the back yard. Instructors are everywhere and all they all teach pretty much exactly the same material. This video is brilliant BTW, great job. Love the bit where she takes a moment to fix her hair, which beautifully highlights how powerless the assailant now is. Loved it.

The best in self-defence is not moves but ability come back home safe. If you start to fight so you have missed self-defence point already and must use your fighting abilities.

Excellent. This really does work. So glad they slowed things down so that we can see what is going on. In real applications the movement is very swift ... almost a blur.

An awesome display of leverage and joint manipulation. The girl fixing her hair was priceless i laughed. Thank you.

I don’t mean to come off as a jerk, but these have a low chance of working on a committed/resisting opponent. They will work on a guy who is trying to talk to you, but beggars can’t be choosers.

never have been a fighter type but aikido so fluid and non confronting watching is like poetry

First of all, amazing art and beautiful video. Very educational. At the same time this level of fighting skills do require at least 10 years of training and a very accommodating opponent.
