HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN MINECRAFT TEXTURE PACK! (Java) (Windows ONLY!)

Today I tell you guys how to create your own Minecraft texture pack!
Disclaimer: I have gotten two complaints about me breaking their pc because of this video, not sure if they are real or not but just so whoever watches this, create a texture pack at your own risk, make sure your computer is a windows and if it isn't I personally wouldn't try it, it might possibly break your pc.

Ayo! To anyone saying it breaks your Pc, it does ONLY if you extract it to the desktop folder on accident, happened to me but got it fixed, just be patient and delete the files in the desktop folder.

Here's what i do, I go to versions, I extract the .jar and drag it to my desktop. I then renamed .jar into .zip and the open it, and pull out the assets onto my destop (doesn't take as long as deleting all the files) and then i just delete the zip file that I had created.

My texture pack isn't showing up. I put it in the .minecraft folder, resourcepacks.
I even zipped my texture pack, nothing. Any tips and tricks please?
