03 - UniFi Network Initial Setup - UDM-Pro Complete Setup 2021

The UniFi Dream Machine Pro (UDM-Pro) is an excellent home user router/firewall/switch/surveillance system device. The UDM-Pro runs the UniFi OS and includes UniFi Network, UniFi Protect, UniFi Access, and UniFi Talk bundled in as applications.

In this series, we will dig deep into how to set up the UDM-Pro and related applications mostly focusing on Network and Protect.

In Part 03, we start to dig into UniFi Network and go through some initial settings, set up our main LAN and our first wireless SSID.

I struggled to get this part to work - I set my ISP Router into Modem Modem, and could not (for the life of me) get connection via my UDM. In the UI, it mentioned internet service down - until I flicked back to router (disabled the wifi), so I can send out IPs from the Unifi AP instead - now working without any issues - thanks Chris.

But the guy who worked before me, who set everything up, he didn´t write anything down. Thanks for your videos. They were quite helpful in setting up UDM Pro. Is there a way to monitor the traffic on the individual Wan's. I have set it up to load balance 80/20 but I have no idea what the distribution really is.

Thanks for your guidance, I bought all new Unify equipment to replace my home network and thanks to your videos it made it a lot easier. I ran into a problem with my 8 port PoE switch which I wasn't able to adopt but I ended having to reset it and worked perfectly. Thanks a lot man!
