Homeless people can get food stamps in all states. You can use a po box or a homeless shelter address. I'm glad dr. now suggested public housing to help them. You can't be discouraged by how long the waiting lists are. I've been told the waiting list was 2 years but within 5 months they called with a house for me.

I work with the homeless community and I’ve NEVER heard a doctor tell them this is what we’re gonna do! Then rattle off how to switch over food stamps, get established with the Shelter and telling big bro to lead by example! Wow ! So impressed!

1200 calories a day is HARD. Even harder when you're poor and can only afford junk food. There's no way they can succeed unless they get some stability and a place where they can actually cook and have access to fresh food.

I loved that he took the time to help them with finding some stability first. Obesity is obviously a health concern but he saw them as people who need help before he saw them as obese people. I hope many will see that physical appearance should never be a scale on how you judge someone❤️

I was homeless for a year and a half, and one of the most striking things that most don't realize is how expensive and hard it is to actually eat healthy food when you cannot cook anything. So for these two, one of the most important things to help them lose weight is genuinely to get them somewhere they can stay.

I felt this I’m not overweight but I was homeless at 18 and it was hard to eat healthy and I was on food stamps. Sometimes junk food is cheaper than salads and not many people realize that. It’s also hard to heat up food since most of the time food stamps are cold food items and shelf items. I’m glad Dr. Now suggested a homeless shelter shelter help people get back in their such as donated clothes hot meals showers and a bed to sleep on.. I’m glad they’re trying to get the help❤️

Dr. Now is one of the most authentic reality show Dr.s. He is exactly what these patients need. He’s not mean, he’s direct and honest and doesn’t sugar coat anything. And he cares.
