40, 000, 000 cubic metres = 40, 000, 000, 000 litres. 200, 000, 000 cubic metres = 200, 000, 000, 000 litres. China daily consumption of litres of gas per day = @ 12, 500, 000 (this is petroleum stats I found online) If my calculations are right, 200 cubic metres of gas will last China 43.8 years. If I am wrong with my calculations or stats I used for calculations, please correct me. 💡 p.s. the cubic metres to litres calculations were done using the 'easy' calculation method.

Congratulation CNOOC for discovery. However producing 390 m3/d may be rates from one well only which is really good (~2500 bbl/d, plus ~300 BOE/d from GOR)

I feel China should cut down on the bright lights at night in all the major cities. Yes, they look spectacular and nice. But cutting down such energy use will mean China DOES NOT have to depend on oil imports so much. Depending on imports means vulnerability to US blockade of the Malacca Straits, rise of oil prices, dependency on (?)friendly oil producing countries, etc. Save energy for the more important uses.
