It's still a great looking car, but the non-US spec was a lot more modern and progressive design. US tastes are FAR too conservative.

I bought the new 2023 HR-V EX-L version and have been driving it now for a week. Let me tell you this SUV has exceeded my expectations in many ways. The ride, handling and sense of stability is superb. The vehicle is soo well insulated that you barely hear any road noise. Even the speed, merging into the highway and overtaking others is a cinch. The HR-V automatically switches the high beams on when you are driving on a dark road and as soon as it detects another vehicle coming from the opposite side or in front of me, it automatically switches off the high beams. Amazing technology!!! The photos and videos on the 2023 HR-V EX-L does not do it any justice. It is an absolutely sexy and sporty looking vehicle. I LOVE my new SUV!!! It is the best sub-compact SUV in the market. With all due respect to the competition. The Honda HR-V beats out the rest in reliability, looks, performance, re-sale value and in safety. Forget about the Toyota Cross, Subaru Trek, Hyundai Kona, Kia Seltos, Mazda CX-30, Volkswagen Taos. This will definitely be one of Honda's best sellers. Great job Honda!!!

The biggest complaint I see is the noise when you are driving higher speeds like on a highway. This is mainly due to the Hancook Tires. I have a 2024 FWD all Black HRV, and I got Michelin tires on it. It is very quiet and exceeds all expectations. I recommend this car.

Too many people are hating on the design for being "too conservative". Its a cheap Subcompact SUV not the next generation of the S2000. Its not supposed to look like that. It looks good for what it is. As for the Euro version, it looks good, just like the American version.

Honda did a good job with the styling, still looks like a cute babycar, but more aligned with the Pilot. Looks a little bigger too.
