Matthew gives an account of Jesus' Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem with a twist. Did Jesus really ride into Jerusalem on two donkeys? Is there a contradiction here at all?

Multiple eye witness testimonies have repeatedly been shown to have inconsistencies. We have poor memory when it comes to details much of the time. Some have better memory than others. Why did Jesus have 12 disciples when only 4 wrote anything down? You would think being "God" he would have created his selected chosen ones of 12 writers to show a definitive amount of meticulous proof.
There is also plenty of evidence the writings do have changed over time, translations interpretations and languages. The game telephone also shows how any story changes across the number of people retelling it from one person to the next. Sometimes I think that book the bible is rubbing it in how much of an ass it can make out of us, lol

In short here’s how to counter the Christian claim:
If they say 2, then show John 12:15. If they say 1 then ask why he’s asking for both Matthew 21. This defeats the Septuagint claim as well, matt/ mark/ Luke and John are not in the Septuagint.

In this story, the inerrant word of god is not so inerrant after all. What might be the purpose, anyway,  of the purported donkey or colt story to the whole episode of mankind's existence on earth?

You read the prophecy right it’s 1 donkey not 2. Jesus misquotes it by asking for both.

Here’s what Christians do, they pick a translation that state both of them. The only way to show it’s still a misquote by Jesus is by John 12:15 . It states:” it is written your king comes riding on a colt of a donkey.”
No mention of both.😊
