The scene where Coulter finally gets to speak to his father never fails to make me cry.

They would never put his body on metal like in that small chamber. They would want to keep him alive as long as possible and prevent infection and you don't have a patient laying on a hard surface like that, you're just asking for pressure ulcers.

I've seene this movie before. In my memory, the last scenes where the woman in the military gets a message from him indicating that even though his body's dead he is still alive in the parallel world.

good thing he created a non-hardcore character, it would be bad if he lose all that progress

So every time he “went back” he was being sent to a different parallel universe where his consciousness was hijacking some other guy’s body? But the military didn’t know they were parallel universes? What did they think was happening? How do you accidentally send someone’s consciousness to another universe?

I keep thinking that you’re saying “Ann Coulter” when you’re actually saying “And Coulter”

This movie is like that one part in SOMA where you simulate realities to get information from a preserved conciousness.

This is one of the few movies that a review doesn’t do justice to how great this movie is. i recommend everyone taking the time to watch this gem of a movie!

Laying on that thing where they kept his body is quite painful

Yeah they create an alternate universe without even knowing it

Hands down one of the greatest obscure movies out there in recent memory. It sets you up to think that at the end, coulter is going to die on the last mission and Goodwin is essentially just granting a dying man a last request. One last mission for him to go out like a hero. But the twist at the end, which was foreshadowed in the beginning by the talk between Jake and Michelle, man that was so cool. Such a cool take on the parallel reality concept and mixed with elements of groundhog day meets save the world sci fi epic. Also, if you didn't cry for coulter at the end when he got a second life, I'm not friends with you.

So THIS is where the writers of Rick and Morty came up with the idea of the replay button in the “Vat of Acid” episode.
