This is the first time we saw the place, and we immediately fell in love.
Had to share this with you guys, and hopefully, you can see what we could!
I know the camera work is pretty poor, but it was filmed on my smartphone, with hands that were shaking with excitement! We had finally found somewhere that just felt like coming home!
We put our offer in there and then!
I know there's so much work to do, but it will be so worth it in the end!

Love the brand new barbed wire fence. That would have been left with a single strand half buried in the grass and bits of blackthorn dug out of the ditches holding it, for another twenty years, if your place wasn’t being sold. Nothing focuses our minds on our property boundaries like the prospect of a stranger next door, who won’t understand the subtle markers that we’ve always used.
As things turned out, it seems both you and your new neighbours got lucky and that fence will either outlive all of you, because it’s not needed anyway, so why fix it, or will be hastily taken down to protect another endangered boundary, somewhere else on their farm.
It’s lucky the estate agent didn’t do a presentation like this, on their web page, because there would have been more viewers and stiffer competition, to buy it.
Well done all of you. It’s a bit damp and squishy right now, but it’s a slice of heaven when conditions are right and that’s more often than you’d think, in the misty midlands of Ireland.
Keep this footage safe, because you’ll look back at it, in the future, finding it hard to remember it as it was. We only have a handful of paper photographs of ours, from 1992 and really, they don’t do it justice.
