Do you do this? Seems like a great way to leverage tools, and expand your capabilities. Thoughts?

Add a ratcheting spinner to your shank handles for sockets and bit? Just saw it on a Techs Talking Shop video and thought wow, what a great idea. Here's that video:

Very very cool, that palm ratchet on the handle is brilliant! 👍👍

I used to use a lot of Snap On . In present day Canada, they have basically priced themselves out of the market . BTW, I’ve enjoyed your posts, and have many times explored similar concepts . Keep up the great work !

I wouldn’t ever see myself using one in a shop setting but I could definitely see it as beneficial for a mobile mechanic. One less tool to carry.

My 1/4 inch spinner handle drive is my favorite extension nut driver ext. Love those I use mine mostly with my roto head ratchet all the time!!

I definitely have used ratchets on shank drivers in the past. Usually a 1/4 ratchet with an extension does the job

I’m a technician and repair stuff and i use that combination all the time!!
It’s awesome!!
I use just a ratchet on the driver, I don’t see the Need of that spinner thing doothat because its bigger and heavier than a siple ratchet.
Plus you can apply more torque in the same degree of movement.

I hade one of those nut driver extensions for like 10 years before I actually used it lol. I for some reason just overlooked it as kind of a gimiky tool. Then I tried it! I loved using it right away. Almost any time I have the space I use it on my ratchet. You can break the fastener loose using the ratchet, the run it out or in while still holding the ratchet. To me it's a much better version of the small wheel style ratchet spinners that companies sell. I have only seen these in a 6 inch configuration. But wish I could find one in a 10-12 inch.

I have that Carhartt tool roll for my truck kit; got it last year as it was cheap and it’s perfect for my use. As far as the tool; very unique method for leverage I have never tried it but I think I will now.

I'm far from being brilliant, but I've been doing that for many, many years !

i have been using them always like that for an extension as well you can zip with impact on then delicately tighten by hand it has tons of applications

The spinner handle is an essential very underrated tool.

Driver handles are okay, but the spinner handle is so much better because you can put it on any tool with an anvil.

I like the ability to spinn a fastener in the lock it down with the ratchet.
I use my 6" extension occasionally, but find myself using the spinner handle instead far more often.
And I use ut as a driver handle far more than I thought.

I don't look at that tool as a "shank driver." I thought it was a grippable 1/4" extension, which is what it is being used as in this video. While not available for years, that is my favorite Snap-On soft grip handle.

Used the same setup to finalize the torque of a transmission pan yesterday
The nut driver help speed up the removal of slack while the ratchet gave me the leverage I needed to make final torque

if you get a wera extension with rotating sleeve you can really use the full potention with the flex handle

Yep. I like using the longer TM9CSA Snap On with a stubby ratchet in end myself. Like a powered nut driver.

I have the Wera chisel driver set with the 1/4 square end. The other accessory I have used is 1/4 extensions (I have a very long stalhwille one I am partial to). But it’s a rare occurrence, I think I used it twice and it was to get stuck screws out overhead). I mainly just have the square end for extra leverage (it’s better than a wrench on the hex to me because I can use a long 1/4 ratchet). The impact end is not as nice to hit as the normal chisel drivers. If I want a ratcheting screwdriver I use the Gedore silent gear bit driver (the best one IMHO).

I like the palm ratchet a lot. You could just leave it on there in that configuration.

spinner handles, with and without the 1/4" drive female end, are some of my most used tools. adding a ratchet mechanism to them is even better. In fact, a variation of this would be putting a 1/4" drive adapter bit on a ratcheting bit driver. now you have the ratcheting mechanism in from, instead of the rear. Of course, you loose out on the capability of attaching a long ratchet for maximum leverage for breaking off fasteners. very versatile tool, everyone should own at least one.

I use those as an extension. Sou guess I do use them in that way.. lol
